I’ve always believed that there is an art to doing therapy. For me, that’s about balancing courageous authenticity, a strong clinical lens, direct feedback, and a strength based approach that empowers people to be real about their areas of growth. I have several modalities that I draw upon in my work - which include Attachment Based Family Therapy, EMDR Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy and Narrative Therapy with a focus on emotional patterns.  At the core, it’s all about love. I work to restore any relationship, be it with yourself or another, that is no longer led from the heart.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been providing therapy at Boe Roberts’ practice for over three years. I strive to support folks in reaching their full potential while gaining a higher level of consciousness, understanding, and autonomy. My ability to empathize particularly well with the adolescent and young adult experience while including individualized support allows me to form deep relationships with the folks that I work with in a way that is non-judgmental, non-intimidating, and effective.

I am trained in and utilize multiple modalities, including DBT, EMDR, attachment based therapies, and Narrative therapy.  My approach to therapy can be described as casual, warm, and engaging with a sprinkle of my own personality and sense of humor. I prioritize supporting clients with accessing validation for themselves that they might only allow for others and emphasize internal acceptance while challenging thoughts that may prevent folks from moving forward. My hope is for sessions to feel like a space to settle in, collaborate, and investigate together how your past influences your present.

I'm so glad you landed here. I am passionate about building relationships with my clients so they know they are seen, heard, and understood; from there, I believe that the growth and change they are seeking is possible.

I have experience and comfort with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, neurodivergence, and relationship challenges. The modalities I am trained in and most often utilize are; Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT), Narrative therapy, and Attachment-Based Family therapy (ABFT).

My approach to therapy can be described as empathetic, warm, non-judgmental, and attuned to the individual or family I am working with. I aim to be that someone in your corner who can help you sift through the choices, complexities, and challenges that you are facing, as well as celebrate your strengths and accomplishments. I have a particular knack for working with teens and their families in accessing self-reflection skills and finding ways of communication that are assertive, clear, and regulated to better understand and empathize with themselves and one another.

My hope for our work together is for you to feel that I am your thought-partner, am rooting for you, and I honor the unique story you have to tell.

A core aspect of my therapeutic style is my commitment to curiosity and creativity, and I truly believe therapy can look any number of ways; figuring out what feels most wanted and needed from therapy is an important, empowering, and (hopefully) exciting part of the process. My hope is that our work together feels impactful, moving, and evocative for you, while we honor whatever pace feels necessary for a sense of safety and trust to grow between us. Wherever it is that you want to go in sessions, I’m ready to go with you.

I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute and worked as a school therapist at Tamalpais High School from 2022-2023. I have since worked as a primary therapist at Newport Institute, a residential mental health treatment center for young adult women. Some of the specific therapeutic modalities I am most passionate about are Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, and attachment work, and I have experience working with Narrative Therapy, DBT, and CBT as well. I also have a deep appreciation for psychoeducation, particularly as it relates to trauma and the brain and body.

In short, I aim to be relational, process-oriented, strengths-based, and trauma-informed, and would like to think my way of being is warm, open, and authentically informal. I am comfortable sitting with hopelessness, doubt, or skepticism, and I always welcome big feelings. I am honored to be the one to hold the hope and space for you as we explore what healing and growing really means and gets to look and feel like for you. I am queer-identified, have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families, and I am open to anyone and everyone who feels we may be a good fit.

“Boe is a transformative therapist. Her clinical skills guide clients to deep growth and healing. I highly recommend her care, clinical knowledge and therapeutic skills.”
